The Mother of All Reunions

THE MOTHER OF ALL REUNIONS

Where in the world can you enjoy a bird's eye view of over 5,000 people congregating at a civil function in the heart of Queens,New York?

--where monotony is conspicuously and evidently replaced by pure and uneventful activities of mingling, gossipping, display of athleticism, exhibition of vocal artists with renditions that cultivate our unparalled cultural heritage--

--where our senior citizens, the reproductive database that replicate the genetic shape and might of this dynamic cross section of humanity, were honorably and most deservedly presented with monetary gifts--

--where a handful of our champions in the likes of Ballo Roopram,Ganesh Seecharan,Ken Bissember,Veemen Veerasammy, and Sugar Boy Baijnath were appropriately and most graciously presented with plaques for posterity--

--where the culinary prowess of our people are best examplified;where the rivalry of body gestures to the rhythmic outburst chutney-laced and tassa music was utterly captivating;where a contented crowd shed its presence into the star-clustered night with implied civility--

WHERE WAS THIS MY FRIENDS?

ONLY AT THE UNMATCHABLE AND ENVIABLE ALBION REUNION AND PICNIC DAY 2011

Commentaries from media gurus have argueably assessed this annual meeting of a village that has progressively made its trans Atlantic relocation as the LARGEST & BEST in contemporary survey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

" to build may have to be the slow and laborious task of years;to destroy can be the thoughtless act of a single day "

The article above was well written and the title 'Mother of all Reunions'is 100% accurate. I am from Nigg Road and am very proud of all the volunters that put this event together. Was marvelous my friends. With boys like Aslim, Bill, and all the others success is NOT unusual.

I must say that this reunion keep people talking and talking about what a grand idea it was from this caring group to put together such a successful event. Everything was great especially when the old folks were identified and given a gift and also when a few people were recognised for their different accomplishments.

Thanks for this gesture to humanity.

Bob, I would like to see more of the less fortunate people recognise as well for awards. Not only big names. I hope in the future this will happen. Congrats to the planners. Thanks.

Lionel,
Everyone from Albion deserves to be recognised.Everyone is a winner. But only a handful can be selected every year.Probably you are a candidate for an award if you are from Albion.Let's have a feedback from you.The planning committee is a very capable body and we diligently execute our ideas without malice or prejudice.

Because of the holy month of Ramadan, and in order to get our Muslim brothers and sisters out there, a tentative date of July 14th is the proposed reunion day for 2012.
